Healing Your Depression
Many of the questions I have tried to answer in section one touch on issues of healing. While they stand by themselves and are helpful to someone struggling with depression, they do not by themselves provide a systematic overview of the healing process.
In this section I would like to bring these healing principles together and take the reader through a step-by-step process to show how healing from depression can be achieved.
The focus in this section deals with what you can do to cope with depression, how professional treatment works, and what you can do to help your depressed friends and family members. If you're depressed, use this information as you discuss problems and insights with a concerned friend or counselor. If your depression is in the past, you'll be sharply aware of the value of this material. The insights given will help prepare you to avoid much depression in the future and to modify the intensity of depression that is unavoidable.
