In addition to the presenters of the major papers and their respondents, many other individuals contributed significantly to the production of this volume. Dr. Kenneth Meyer, President of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, gave it his continuous, enthusiastic support and guidance. Dean Walter Kaiser lent his wisdom at point after point and contributed directly to the process by which study papers became a book. Dr. John White of Geneva College, likewise, gave the work his full support and guidance throughout the consultation. Especially valuable was his responsible chairmanship of the plenary sessions in which the participants responded to the work of the writing committee. Dr. Billy Melvin, General Director of the National Association of Evangelicals, early on gave enthusiastic support to the entire project.
Not least worthy of special mention is the behind-the-scenes work of many who kept the wheels moving in the internal production of the manuscript. Lois Armstrong, secretary to the Dean, monitored the flow of manuscripts from beginning to end. Mary Morris, secretary to the Director of the Ph.D. Program at Trinity, typed the seemingly endless revisions of the Evangelical Affirmations through the various stages of its production. Staff members from the Trinity faculty secretarial pool assisted her. Wayne Kijanowski, Debbi Hjelle, and Paul Haroutunian shared in the labor of page layout. Eric Bolger and David Johnson assisted in the formation of "Questions for Discussion." And finally, Dr. Gleason Archer, Anne McIlhaney and Sheila West proofed the various editions of the manuscript. Evangelical Affirmations was a team project, and we are grateful to each one who had a part in its production.
